When uptight upperclassman Alfred (Prinze) and free-spirited undergraduate Imogen (Stiles) meet, they prove opposites attract. The twist? The story is narrated from both points of view. Henry Winkler and Lucy Arnaz tackle the parental roles, but it's Prinze's and Stiles' winning performances that elevate Down to You.

Mansfield Park

In this period drama loosely based on Jane Austen's most autobiographical novel, penniless heroine Fanny Price (Frances O'Connor) is sent to live with wealthy relatives in 1800s England, where her wit and writing talent find the room -- and circumstance -- to grow. Her friendship with cousin Edmund (Jonny Lee Miller) evolves into a deep love, but Fanny is pursued by an eager suitor (Alessandro Nivola), whose sister is after Edmund.

Malena

When 12-year-old Renato (Giuseppe Sulfaro) catches a glimpse of beautiful new bride Malèna (Monica Bellucci), his heart skips a beat. But when jealous town busybodies begin spreading vile rumors about her, Renato must incorporate those falsehoods with what he knows to be true. Writer-director Giuseppe Tornatore helms this coming-of-age story -- set in Sicily during World War II -- which exposes the effect waggish gossip can have.

The Memories of Angels

This nostalgic tableau of more than 120 clips from works produced by Canada's National Film Board traces the evolution of Montreal from industrial hub to one of the country's major cultural centers and site of the 1967 World's Fair. The retrospective includes selections from such notable directors as Gilles Carle and Denys Arcand, and is a moving homage to the development of the arts in Quebec and the growth of Canada's film industry.

The Wings of the Dove
